ICU Travel Nursing Job Details

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent ICU or related critical care nursing experience
• Experience in a Level I trauma environment required
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Availability for the full assignment, including required rotating coverage

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a medical ICU and critical care float pool environment
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and implement timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Manage complex critical care patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, quality patient care, and adherence to critical care standards
• Adapt efficiently to rotating day and night assignments within the critical care setting
