ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Milton, Massachusetts, near Boston
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
• Start Dates: January 5, 2027, or January 19, 2027
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call hours
• Float Requirement: May float to PACU, step-down, and the Emergency Department to care for holding patients

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• 2-3 years of recent ICU or related critical care nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts; candidates may apply at the time of offer
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Epic experience required
• Strong clinical knowledge of ventilator management, vasoactive medication titration, sedation titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience caring for post-STEMI patients preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Successful completion of ECG/telemetry and medication assessments during orientation
• Availability to meet weekend scheduling requirements and limited requested time off

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU)
• Perform ongoing assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Manage mechanical ventilation and support patients with complex respiratory needs
• Titrate vasoactive and sedative medications according to clinical protocols and patient response
• Monitor hemodynamic status and recognize and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias
• Deliver post-STEMI and other high-acuity cardiovascular care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
• Float as needed to PACU, step-down, and the Emergency Department while maintaining safe, effective patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
