Shift: Nights, 4x12-Hour (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR certifications
• 6 hours of Stroke Education (facility can provide if needed)
• EKG course completion (facility can provide if needed)
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes, ABGs, and ventilators
• Strong IV therapy skills, including arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, and IV starts
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, emergency medications, and procedural sedation
• Experience caring for neurological patients, including CVA/stroke, traumatic brain injury, post-craniotomy, post-neurosurgery, ICP monitoring, EVDs, lumbar drains, and spinal cord injuries
• Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias and caring for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, and GI surgery patients
• Trauma Level II, Teaching Hospital, and Community Hospital experience preferred
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg or Telemetry when ICU census is low (ratios up to 5–6:1)
• Ability to work every other weekend

Description:
Medical Center Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment. The RN will provide critical care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a 20-bed ICU with typical ICU ratios of 1:2–3. Responsibilities include managing complex medical and neurological patients, ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates must be comfortable floating to Med/Surg or Telemetry units when ICU census is low. The facility prefers candidates who can start within 3–5 weeks and is open to  48 hours per week.
