First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Angelo, Texas.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:00 | 48 Hours Preferred (36/48 Alternating Considered)
    • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
    • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
    • Floating Protocol [HARDSTOP]: Required to float to Progressive Care (PCU/Stepdown) and Medical-Surgical units as operationally needed.
  • Health Compliance Mandates: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemption forms accepted).
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract (10/05/2026 Start) | 2 Open Positions.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of clinical ICU experience in an acute care setting [HARDSTOP]. Previous travel experience required.
  • EMR Proficiency [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR is required [HARDSTOP].
  • Licensure Requirements [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Texas State RN License or active eNLC Multistate Compact RN License [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Secondary Certification Mandate: Must possess PALS or ENPC within 1 year of start date (AHA PALS and TNCC preferred at submission).
