This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the ICU, following established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing nursing staff activities, as well as collaborating with other healthcare disciplines to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Job Details
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) - preferred, ICU experience - preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications from approved vendors per organization policy, 1 year ICU experience preferred.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week, scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities such as collecting relevant data, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating patient progress, collaborating with the care team, providing education to patients and families, participating in discharge planning, and delegating duties appropriately. Must have EPIC experience.
