Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Float Pool is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care across various intensive care settings. This role involves working in multiple ICU units, which may include Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery, as well as Intermediate Care and General Care populations.

Schedule

• Evening/Night shifts available: 1900 to 0730
• 3x12 hour shifts with every other weekend and some holidays
• 4x12s may be accepted if the traveler is interested

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care with a focus on critical care standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the appropriate healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and nursing care requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (AHA only).
• Experience in multiple ICU settings is preferred.
• Ability to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting.
