Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Springfield, MA. The position offers an opportunity to work across multiple critical care units, including Medical HVCC, Surgical ICU, and Intermediate Care, with the flexibility of 48-hour contracts. This position requires strong ICU nursing skills and experience in a Level 1 ICU environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association. Education requirements include a nursing degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU; preferred candidates have 2 years of ICU experience and at least 1 year in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neuro Critical Care, Sepsis, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) or continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH), post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure.
- Certifications required: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS (Both Through American Heart Association).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a Level 1 ICU or 2 years preferred. No experience requirement specified otherwise.
