Travel ICU Float RN

Float Areas: Medical ICU, Neuro Critical Care, SICU, and IMC
Unit Size: 32 beds
Patient Ratios: 1:2, with 1:1 assignments for higher-acuity patients
48-Hour Contracts: Available

Position Overview

Seeking a strong, experienced ICU RN for a float position supporting Medical ICU, Neuro Critical Care, Surgical ICU, and Intermediate Care. This role is best suited for a clinically confident nurse who can adapt quickly across high-acuity critical care environments.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience in a Level I Trauma Center, or
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Medical ICU experience strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for high-acuity patients independently
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills required

Candidates with only 1 year of experience immediately following new-graduate orientation may not have the level of experience needed for this assignment.

Required Certifications

• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIHSS

Floating Requirements

Travelers must be willing and clinically capable of floating among:

• Medical ICU
• Neuro Critical Care
• Surgical ICU
• Intermediate Care Unit
