Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position with a requirement to work every other weekend. This role involves a rotating schedule through the winter holidays with a commitment to fulfill at least two holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Float between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as needed.
  • Provide high-quality patient care utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar clinical setting.
  • Must have experience in cardiovascular surgery and be adept with devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
  • Must be separated from previous employment with the organization for at least 6 months to be considered.
  • Weekly orientation sessions will be provided.
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable for the position.

Shift Details

This position involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
