Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: State or compact license required Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate) Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Description: The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in an outpatient chemo setting. This role includes the administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The nurse will care for patients with all cancer diagnoses as well as hematology malignant and non-malignant conditions. Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, administering blood and blood products, and providing patient/family education and support. The nurse will monitor patient responses to treatment and recognize/manage side effects. Additional skills include IV maintenance, care of central lines, and phlebotomy. The position involves collaboration with interdisciplinary support services, including social services and pharmacy. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication and the ability to provide compassionate care.
