TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Infusion RN in Monroe, Michigan, 48162!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC) Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: This position involves providing care in an infusion setting for oncology and non-oncology patients. The daily patient census averages 40, with approximately 7 visits per day and 14 rooms available. Nursing responsibilities include the administration of chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusion therapies. Experience with bone marrow transplant and stem cell therapies is required. The nurse will care for a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. The nursing staff will support patients with a variety of diagnoses, including bladder, kidney, brain, breast, colorectal, ear/nose/throat, leukemia, liver, lung, lymphoma, melanoma, multiple myeloma, ovarian/uterine, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. Special procedures include chemotherapy administration, central line maintenance, and medication management. The nurse should be skilled in accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and handling oncologic emergencies such as acute tumor lysis syndrome and extravasation injuries. Pain management and symptom management are also key components of the role. Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and social services. The nurse will participate in patient and family education and provide psychosocial care as necessary. Flexibility to work weekends is required, approximately every six weeks for two hours. Travelers should be prepared to float to other units or facilities as needed. Nursing care should be guided by established protocols and standards.
