Job Title: Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x9-Hour Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years Outpatient Infusion experience required License: Valid State RN License required Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC certification required Must-Have: - Chemo-bio certification from ONS (valid for 2 years) - Experience in accessing and managing ports - Administration of chemotherapy - Body fluid handling post-chemotherapy - Care and management of ports - Central line/implanted line care - Infusion center experience - Isolation precautions/PPE - IV push administration of chemotherapy - Management and disposal of cytotoxic spills - Monitoring chemotherapy - Neutropenic precautions - Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values - Ability to recognize and manage side effects Description: Seeking a qualified Infusion RN for a 4-day work week, 9-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of outpatient infusion experience. Candidates must hold chemo-bio certification from ONS, valid for up to 2 years. Start time for shifts will likely be either 07:30 or 08:00, with every other full weekend required. The Infusion RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and managing ports. Candidates should be proficient in isolation precautions and IV push administration. Experience with accessing and managing ports is crucial. Additional skills include monitoring chemotherapy and recognizing side effects. Candidates must demonstrate competence in patient assessment and care.
