Travel Nurse RN - Infusion - $2,667 per week in West Islip, NY

Job Title: Infusion RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Infusion License: NY State License in Hand Certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC Chemo (preferred) Must-Have: 2 years of infusion experience Oncology experience preferred ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred Description: Your candidate will not be able to be submitted without interview availability. Start date is subject to change based on nursing education availability. Local rate is defined as within 75 miles of the facility. Work settings include infusion centers, inpatient oncology, outpatient oncology, and chemotherapy administration. Responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy. Will also perform IV push administration of chemotherapy, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, and antivirals. The role involves management of blood and blood products, care and management of ports, and infusion pump management. Provide intravenous hydration and multivitamins, as well as PICC line care. Responsibilities also include starting and maintaining IVs and administering antibiotics. Candidates must have prior travel assignment experience preferred, but extensive experience will be considered. NYS license must be in hand and submitted with application. Candidate must have two supervisory clinical references at the time of submission.
