Job Summary: Under general supervision, the RN provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patient responses, assisting physicians during procedures, educating patients and families about chemotherapy, and coordinating follow-up care. The RN ensures competent patient care delivery and maintains effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Required Qualifications:
 

• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Required Education:
 

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education:
 

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
