Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our acute care facility in Rockford, Illinois. This dynamic role involves providing comprehensive patient care across various high-acuity units, primarily focusing on Intensive Care, Step-Down, and Cardiac Telemetry.
The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care and extensive cardiac experience, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse patient populations including those with complex cardiac, neurological, and medical-surgical conditions. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed to support patient care demands.
As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, administer medications, develop individualized care plans, and ensure meticulous documentation, all while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies and procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
- Document patient care accurately, comprehensively, and timely according to established standards.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
- Participate actively in department or unit performance improvement activities and initiatives.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required).
- Minimum of Not specified years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
- Extensive cardiac patient care experience.
- Willingness and ability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Licensing Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (IL).
