Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,598 per week in Pasadena, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have 1-2 years of ICU experience. Description: The unit has a total of 24 beds with 2 overflow semi-private rooms for a total of 26. Staffing includes 31 on the day shift and 20 on the night shift. During the day shift, there is 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator and RNs scheduled to census. The night shift also has 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator and RNs scheduled to census. Patient ratios vary from 2:1, 1:1, to 3:1 and may be 4:1 in rare cases if there are downgrades. The unit is equipped with mechanical ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, EKOS. EMR used is Meditech Magic until August 2026, after which Meditech Expanse will be implemented. Typical procedures performed on the unit include intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, central line insertions, and arterial lines. The ideal candidate should be accountable for their actions. Floating to other units may be required. The dress code is royal blue scrubs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, and there is no on-call obligation.
