Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Charting system experience required Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts during the day. The patient ratio will be 1:2. The unit consists of 10 beds. Experience in managing ventilated patients is preferred. Experience with central line care and management is required. Skills in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias are necessary. The nurse will handle blood product administration and procedural sedation monitoring. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols is essential. Candidates must be familiar with managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Experience in respiratory management, including BiPAP and CPAP, is important. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and respiratory services. The average daily census is 8 patients. The position may involve working weekends as part of the schedule.
