Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,733 per week in Nashville, TN

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Active RN license - ACLS certification - BLS certification - ICU experience Description: The unit has 16 beds with patient ratios typically at 2:1, and can vary to 1:1 or 3:1 based on acuity and staffing needs. Unit secretary is staffed during dayshift, and there may be an occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Equipment utilized on the unit includes ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Self-scheduling is available to an extent, with the manager adjusting shifts as necessary to balance the schedule. Contract labor is the first to float, with expectations to float to medical/surgical if needed. Expected patient experience includes providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members. Advanced skills performed on the unit include insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions.
