The unit typically has a patient ratio of 2:1, with occasional 1:1 and 3:1 assignments. There is 1 Nurse Tech available for support on the unit. The unit is equipped with advanced technology including Arctic Sun and Continuous EEG monitoring systems. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include working 36 hours per week, with shifts every other weekend. Floating to an ICU overflow unit may be required. The role involves performing various procedures, including central line placements, arterial line placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and intubation. Dress code requires Galaxy Blue or Pewter scrubs. It is noteworthy that the facility has received outstanding recognition for quality care and staff engagement.
