Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,738 per week in Fredericksburg, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: 3+ years recent ICU experience Description: Data collection is essential for this role. The unit has 10 beds and is staffed by 12 personnel. During the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse and 1 AM RN. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 1 PM RN. Patient ratios are 1:4-5. Equipment used includes Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. The electronic medical record system is Meditech Expanse. Candidates with a previous charge role experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed include STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, and intubation. Ideal candidates will be friendly, honest, flexible, and possess superb critical thinking skills. A sense of urgency when needed and the ability to work well with others is essential. Every other weekend commitment is required, and there is no on-call duty.
