Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Critical care experience is required. Candidates must be accountable for the provision of nursing care to assigned patients in all phases of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse will utilize theoretical concepts to inform decisions in practice. Candidates will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care. Care should be in accordance with established standards of nursing practice for adult and geriatric patients. Description: This position involves providing critical care nursing to assigned patients. The Registered Nurse will ensure the assessment and planning of care meets patient needs. Individualized nursing care will be expected for all patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Job responsibilities will include implementation and evaluation of care plans. Candidates should be prepared to handle a patient ratio of 1:2. Weekend shifts will occur every other weekend or more, depending on patient census. There are no call requirements for this position. The unit is equipped with EMR systems for efficient patient management. A personality fit for a team-oriented environment is preferred. Dress code consists of black scrubs.
