The facility has a focus on providing comprehensive care to the patient population, including adults and geriatric patients. The ICU currently has a 5-bed capacity, with plans to expand to 10 beds in February. Patient ratios in the ICU are 2-3 patients per nurse. Common diagnoses treated include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric issues. Equipment used in the unit includes vents, bipaps, infusion drips, and glucometers. The electronic health record system in use is Medhost. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and a family-like atmosphere. Required education includes appropriate certifications and licensure to work as an RN in the state. The dress code mandates scrubs, with no unacceptable attire permitted. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
