Key Responsibilities of the Travel ICU RN:
- Provide continuous, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients
- Monitor hemodynamics, manage ventilators, drips, and life-support equipment
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
Requirements of the Travel ICU RN:
- Active Kentucky RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
