Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2+ years recent ICU experience required License: Active RN license Certifications: - American Heart Association BLS - American Heart Association ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Must-Have: - Willingness to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered - Willingness to take mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered - COVID vaccination record required, with no declinations accepted Description: This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies. The nursing care provided aligns with standards of professional nursing practice. The position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered, either personally or through others under their direction. The role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care. Care must be appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. A skills checklist must be specific to Intensive Care Unit nursing. Supervisory references are required from the last 6 months and the last 12 months. Verification of the RN license must be completed, and certification verification must be less than 30 days old.
