TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Twin Falls, Idaho, 83301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Thermaguard/Zoll cooling experience with Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) - EPIC experience - Previous travel experience Description: This position is in a combination unit with both intensive care and progressive care. The unit has a total of 30 beds, consisting of 16 ICU beds and 14 PCU beds. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1-2 in the ICU and 1:3 in the PCU. Travelers do not manage specialty patients, including ventilated patients or those with specific cardiac conditions. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, and alcohol withdrawal. RNs in this unit are required to titrate standard ICU drips, which include vasoactive and sedative medications. Some mild titrations for pressors are done within written parameters in the PCU. Charge nurses do not take a patient assignment but support the entire unit. There is a certified nursing assistant for every 8 patients, who assist with basic care tasks. An Intensivist is present in-house 7 days a week for day shifts, with eICU support available at night. Respiratory therapists are also on-site 24/7 to assist with ventilator management and respiratory treatments. Telemetry technicians monitor patients, and RNs are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend shifts required every other weekend, depending on needs. There may be opportunities for block scheduling based on unit requirements. Floating between ICU and PCU patients is expected within the unit. The dress code for the unit is navy blue scrubs. The unit has a great culture with lots of teamwork, and travelers are actively involved and engaged. The staff enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in the surrounding area. Holiday shifts may be required as needed. There are no call or standby requirements for this position. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
