Must-Have:
- Strong cardiac ICU experience is required.
- Experience with advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and TVP.
- Proficiency in managing cardiac and medical intensive care patients, as well as some step-down overflow.
- Skills in hemodynamic monitoring, invasive lines, CRRT, and ventilator management.
Description:
The role requires extensive experience in cardiac intensive care to manage complex patient needs effectively.
Candidates should be knowledgeable about advanced cardiac devices that are commonly utilized in this setting.
Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients is essential.
The ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is a critical component of the role.
The nurse should be comfortable with pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures and sheath removal.
Patient ratios are typically 2:1.
Candidates must demonstrate access and management skills for various intravenous devices and be able to administer blood products.
Experience in managing ventilated patients and providing continuous IV sedation is required.
The ideal candidate should be prepared to float to other units as needed, performing tasks within their competency.
All candidates must have substantial experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Special considerations will be given for managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction.
The ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential.
