Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,920 per week in Shawnee Mission, KS

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Critical Care Experience Strong Communication Skills Adaptability to Change Description: The ICU unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. The unit is staffed with charge nurses and unit secretaries during the day shift. There are no techs available on the unit. The type of equipment includes Alaris pumps and GE monitors. The documentation system used is MediTech. The scheduling is self-scheduled with an expectation of working every third weekend. First to float policy applies to travel nurses, primarily floating to telemetry to take patients or assist in other areas. Patient experience guidelines include AIDET. Open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronch procedures, CRRT, and Impella care are performed in the unit. Strong collaborative teamwork is emphasized. The unit is actively working towards recognition initiatives. Unit-specific guidelines and policies apply. Advanced skills such as neuro and trauma experience are a plus.
