RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may possibly turn into a cancelation. No block scheduling is available. This unit functions similarly to an ICU. Strong drip experience is essential. Traveler experience is accepted for first-time travelers. Local candidates are welcomed. Target patient ratios are 3:1 or 4:1. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Patient diagnoses include respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, and post-op complications. The age range of patients includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Only one pressor drip is permitted per patient; additional drips require transfer to an ICU. Specialty equipment includes bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup. Staff must recognize and treat dysrhythmias effectively. Candidates should be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests. This position involves floating to a sister unit as needed. Candidates must have experience in blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, and non-invasive airway management. Weekly hours will be structured accordingly to ensure compliance with fatigue policies. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units.
