Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in ICU, MS, MS/Tele, PCU - Charting system experience with Epic Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Primary floating required is ICU Float but may float to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU, and ICU units within the facility. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:2-3 for ICU, 1:4-5 for PCU, and 1:5-6 for MS and MS/Tele. The unit operates with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for system management. Scrub color is navy blue. Maximum time off (RTO) is 7 days per contract. RTO blackout dates apply during spring break (April 4th-12th). Staff are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Travelling nurses must work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur during the assignment, the nurse is expected to work both holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant, the start may be pushed back. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, and neuro-intensive care is desired. Additional skills needed include phlebotomy and management of dysrhythmias. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.
