Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,966 per week in Stockbridge, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted License: GA or Compact RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS prior to start Must-Have: - Experience with care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Acute stroke management - Cardiac surgery recovery management - Management of dysrhythmias Description: Minimum experience of 2 years is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS prior to start. General diagnoses managed in the unit include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative complications, cardiogenic shock, gastrointestinal bleeding, exacerbations of COPD, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and end-stage renal disease on continuous renal replacement therapy. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Travel pairs are not accepted, regardless of unit assignments. Patient ratio is 1:2-3, and travelers should be prepared for the possibility of taking a third patient. The unit consists of 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19 patients. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The unit operates various systems, including medication dispensing and electronic health records. Scrub color for the unit is navy blue. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Floating within the facility and scope of practice is required as needed. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. Should two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work both. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two. Full compliance is required prior to starting. If not compliant in time, there may be a delay of up to two weeks due to scheduling. Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No requests for time off can be made during orientation week. All requirements must be fulfilled prior to the start date. Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty.
