Description:
Shift consists of 3 twelve-hour days.
Minimum of 1.5 years of experience is required.
The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted.
Orientation hours total 36.
Modules are completed onsite during orientation and recorded via transcripts.
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential skills.
Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure is required.
Arterial line management and central line care/management are necessary.
Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips must be performed.
Management and maintenance of BiPAP/CPAP and care for ventilated patients are required skills.
Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform suctioning (ETT, NT) is necessary.
Isolation precautions and proper use of PPE are mandatory practices.
