Must-Have:
Strong neuro critical care experience
Ventilator management
IV drip titration
Telemetry monitoring
Conscious sedation
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Emergency response and critical care management
Description:
This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse with a focus on critical care.
The candidate must be willing to float to stepdown, emergency department, or medical-surgical units to care for ICU patients.
The nurse will work 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
The typical patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3.
Candidates must be proficient in Epic.
Travel experience is preferred.
Strong candidates with less than three years of experience may still be considered.
The nurse will manage patients with complex needs including those requiring neurocritical care and will be involved in ventilator management and IV drip titration.
Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response is crucial.
Candidates should expect to care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical needs, trauma, and sepsis.
The role includes being part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive patient care.
Candidates will have exposure to a variety of patient diagnoses that include neurosurgical cases and post-stroke care.
It is important to review candidate backgrounds thoroughly prior to application.
Compliance with facility rules and regulations is mandatory throughout the hiring process and during employment.
The facility does not accept candidates with prior license or background issues.
Fit testing for N95 masks will be conducted.
Testing for EKG proficiency is required, and candidates must achieve a passing score.
Additional training modules may be required prior to the official start of the assignment.
