Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year CVICU experience required. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with Impella, post cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac catheterization, pulmonary artery line monitoring, thermodilution PA catheter monitoring. Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Experience with A-lines, ventilators, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs. EPIC experience required. Description: Candidates must have experience in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. They will care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures. The unit operates a patient ratio of 1:2. Floating may be required based on staffing needs. Travelers are expected to be available to work every other weekend and holiday. They must be comfortable managing multiple patient care tasks. Experience with monitoring essential equipment and protocols is necessary. The role includes patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Strong critical thinking and clinical skills are essential for patient care delivery. Candidates must adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. Teamwork and communication abilities are crucial to ensure high-quality patient care. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit typically runs at a capacity of 36 beds. Daily census is approximately 33 patients.
