Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,029 per week in Franklin, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS and ACLS through AHA Must-Have: Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Experience with vents, NIH, IV Start, ICP, and Conscious Sedation. Ability to read and interpret rhythm strips. Associate's degree in nursing or BSN required. Experience with EPIC charting system required. Description: Targeted patient ratios are 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients on the unit. Travelers will be the first to float at the discretion of the manager. Travelers may float in and out of specialty clusters. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Knowledge and skills required include management of 16-bed ICU patients and various critical procedures. The ICU serves patients with complex medical issues, including cardiac surgeries and stroke management. Candidates will work with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy and Rapid Response Teams. A variety of patient diagnoses will be encountered, including diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and cardiovascular issues. Special procedures and equipment utilized on the unit include balloon pumps and ventilators. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on the job description without restrictions. Any active state RN license or compact license is accepted for submission. Candidates must disclose any past license disciplinary actions and wait six months before reapplying if previously employed.
