Position: Registered Nurse – ICU
Location: Prescott Valley
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2050 to $2250
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and hemodynamic stability
Administer IV medications, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other critical care therapies
Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other ICU technologies
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond rapidly to emergencies
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge planning when appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety guidelines, and hospital policies
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while advocating for patients and their families
Requirements
Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
Strong knowledge of critical care protocols, ventilator management, and emergency response
Experience caring for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent assessment, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment
