This corporation serves as a vital referral center for the western parts of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to a diverse community.
As an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to a varied patient population, supporting individuals of all ages and their families. The facility offers a wide range of services including emergency care, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures, with a significant portion being ambulatory surgical procedures.
This role requires an independent and skilled clinician capable of performing a variety of nursing care procedures while adhering strictly to physician's orders, established standards of care, and hospital policies and procedures. The unique cultural environment of Tuba City, situated on the Colorado Plateau, offers a rich and diverse community experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of professional nursing care procedures requiring specialized knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
- Provide comprehensive nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families within the Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Work independently in completing assignments, ensuring adherence to physician's orders, established standards of care, and nursing and hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute or sub-acute facility.

Licensing Requirements
- Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Complete National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire.
