Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-surgical recovery, cardiac emergencies, and advanced heart failure.

The CVICU environment demands exceptional clinical judgment and the ability to manage a diverse patient population requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and specialized cardiac interventions. Nurses in this unit maintain a patient ratio of 1:2, ensuring focused and high-quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
  • Manage and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations, initiating life-saving interventions as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
