Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU experience Comprehensive assessment skills Care of septic patients Care of mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices Description: The purpose of this position is to provide critical care to patients in an intensive care environment. The unit has 30 beds with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. Equipment used includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, and Prismax. Electronic medical records are managed through Epic. The patient population includes those with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. Candidates should be team players, possess a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy. The dress code requires scrubs in navy color, with specific attire restrictions in place. Floating to other inpatient areas may be required during low census periods.
