Description: CVICU experience is a plus but not required. Travelers are allowed one call out per contract; if a second call out occurs, proper documentation is needed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This facility holds Joint Commission Accreditation and has 171 beds. It serves as a community hospital and regional referral center. The facility is a Certified Chest Pain Center and a Level III Trauma Center. The area offers great outdoor recreation, including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking. There are various local dining options, including restaurants, breweries, and distilleries. Enjoy beautiful mountain ranges paired with serene lake scenery. Major cities are within a reasonable driving distance, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon National Park, Los Angeles, and San Diego. All candidates should reference the start date provided for the position. These dates are firm, and candidates should not be submitted if available prior to or after these defined dates. Housing options are available. Candidates should indicate if their shift preference is flexible, including the acceptance of day or night shifts. No block schedule requests will be accepted, although 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed. The unit has 16 beds, with patient ratios of 1:2. The equipment used includes Baxter pumps and the EHR system is Medhost. The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma. Required education is nursing. The dress code allows any scrub color, but unacceptable attire details will be provided separately.
