Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU

Care for medical ICU patients, including those with respiratory failure, renal failure, and sepsis
Management of chronic ventilators and trachs
Administer vasoactive medications and monitor invasive lines
Assist with bedside procedures such as chest tube placement and tracheostomy
Support patients on ventilator support and manage insulin and heparin drips

Requirements of the RN - ICU

NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certification required
Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience
Skill in trach care, chest tube management, and monitoring invasive lines
CCRN certification preferred but not required
