Shift Type: Night
Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12.5 hours per shift)
Shifts per Week: 3
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
1:1 for TTM/CRRT/IABP patients
2:1 or 3:1 for step-down patients
Special Duties During Shift:
Monitor telemetry
Titrate medications
Manage ventilators
Operate CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Artic Sun, ECHO
Care for patients with respiratory, renal, and cardiac diagnoses
Perform patient assessments and reassessments; make independent clinical decisions
Develop, implement, and revise plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor and document patient responses to interventions
Provide patient and family education, including discharge teaching
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
Mentor and precept staff; encourage teamwork and professional development
