Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care decisions. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members. Directly delivers health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates responsibilities appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational requirements mandate that all associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participation in E-Verify is a requirement. This role includes education and non-productive hours for Float Pool nurses. Float Pool nurses should clock in to the unit where they are working.
