Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Shift Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of two years of documented ICU experience or completion of an approved ICU training course License: Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of California Certifications: ACLS Certification required, BLS Certification required, PALS and ACLS Certification within six months of hire, CCRN encouraged Description: The Registered Nurse in ICU plans, coordinates, and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standard of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization. He/she remains flexible to changing systems and is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. He/she treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect. The role requires adherence to confidentiality regulations as required by the job. It involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids. The position requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and frequent transferring of patients.
