Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,123 per week in Richmond, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years in ICU License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with Epic charting system required. Travel experience required. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care setting. Description: The role involves providing care to patients with liver conditions and transplant needs in an intensive care unit. Nurses will manage complex patient care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. The unit typically sees adult and geriatric patients. Daily patient census averages 15, with ratios of 2 patients per nurse during shifts. Additional responsibilities include administering emergency medications, managing ventilators, and assisting with chest tube insertion and removal. Nurses will engage in continuous IV sedation and titrate vasoactive drips as part of patient management. Additional skills required include interpreting arterial blood gases, management of dysrhythmias, and administering blood products. Candidates are expected to float within their scope as needed. A natural nail policy is enforced. Completion of assigned modules during orientation is required.
