Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,128 per week in Salem, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - ICU Experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The unit has a total of 12 beds and is staffed by 32 healthcare professionals. The staff includes directors, managers, clinical coordinators, RNs, externs, and paramedics. Patient ratios typically range from 2:1 to 1:1, depending on the acuity of patients. Common types of equipment used in the unit include IABP, Impella, and Swan Ganz. The unit utilizes an EMR system for documentation. Candidates should possess skills in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. ICU experience is preferred, particularly with cardiac patients. Typical procedures performed on the unit include TVP, TCP, post-cath, sheath removal, bedside trach, and SLED. Ideal candidates will have a team-focused personality. The dress code for the unit is navy blue scrubs. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend with no on-call duties.
