Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in critical care, with strong experience in ICU and floating to PCU. License: Current, in-state nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to float across various departments, including ICU, MS, PCU, and ED based on departmental needs. Strong experience in ICU/PCC is necessary. Candidates must manage higher patient ratios. Description: Please confirm that you are aware you may be asked to float across ICU, MS, and PCU. You will also be asked to float to ED as a helping hand. This role requires the management of ventilators, Artic Sun, and Balloon Pumps. Experience in areas such as ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI's, UTI's, and acute shock is preferred. Knowledge of Cath Lab procedures, TR Bands, Sheath Pulls, EEG's, Cardioversion, and Stress Tests is beneficial. The candidate must have experience with accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and chest tube insertion/removal. Candidates will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients and managing IV sedation, continuous IV paralytics, and cardiac drips. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is essential. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Floating is required based on departmental needs. You will be expected to work on major holidays. The candidate must provide documentation of nursing experience and references. This position does not accept local candidates for certain nursing roles.
