TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU/PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. - If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be designated not to use for a period of 6 months. - Experience working in larger facilities preferred. - Must be able to titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin. - RNs are required to monitor heart rhythms and take 12-lead EKGs. Description: The unit is a combined acuity unit housing 10 beds. The patient ratio for ICU patients is 1:2, for PCU it is 1:4, and for MST it is 1:5-6, depending on staffing. Nurse Aids will typically manage 10-15 patients. If there is no Nurse Aid available, RNs will provide primary care for 3 patients. Respiratory support is available, including vents, BiPap, and Cpap, with assistance from respiratory therapists. Remote monitor technicians support patients in PCU and MST. RNs are responsible for reading cardiac rhythm strips. RNs monitor ICU patients using bedside cardiac monitors. The schedule includes every other weekend shifts, with holiday rotations to ensure equitable distribution of holiday coverage. In low census situations, staff may rotate standby shifts. Floating to other units for patient care is required to maintain competency in caring for all types of patients. Scrub colors are flexible, except for camouflage. Unit-specific orientation is included in the hiring process. This position is within an acute care setting.
