Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,146 per week in Chandler, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 3 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 3 years of recent ICU experience - Experience in either neuro or cardiovascular care - Ability to titrate drips Description: This position requires a full 3 years of recent ICU experience to be considered. Experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular care. A dysrhythmia exam is required prior to acceptance of the position. There will be a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation. This unit handles trauma and neuro surgery cases with a capacity of 32 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary from 1:2 to 1:1. RNs are required to interpret their own telemetry strips using GE monitors. Self-scheduling is available, but the manager may balance shifts as needed. There are hospitalists or intensivists on duty 24/7. Respiratory therapists are available in the ICU 24/7. Floating to telemetry units with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio may be required. No additional call or standby shifts are required. The unit uses a navy scrub color for attire. Valid skills in trauma, neuro, and specialty devices will be validated as needed. Experience in a similar size unit is preferred. Candidates may not be employed in any facility associated with this organization within the past year. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment. Charting systems utilized include Cerner.
