When floating to MedSurg, a full patient assignment of 1:5 or 1:6 is expected. Scrub colors permitted are any solid color; no designs allowed. Natural hair colors are a requirement for this position. The orientation process includes two days of nursing department orientation and one shift on the floor. Charting is performed using the EPIC system.
