Description
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
Profession: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00)
Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience
License: Compact License Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI preferred
Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience
- Experience with accessing/managing ports
- Ability to manage arterial lines
- Experience in assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
- BiPAP/CPAP management skills
- Experience with blood product administration
- Care of ventilated patients
- Central line care/management experience
- Knowledge of chronic/acute renal failure
- Experience with continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade
- Experience with continuous IV sedation
- CVA/acute stroke management skills
- Knowledge of emergency medications
- Experience with GI surgery
Description:
ICU RN for night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00.
Floating to medical/surgical and emergency departments as required by census.
Rotation for weekends and holidays is expected.
Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI preferred.
The role includes patient management in critical care settings.
Skills in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias are crucial.
Management of IV insulin protocols and administration of emergency medications is required.
Experience with starting and maintaining IVs and phlebotomy is necessary.
Candidates must also have experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
Knowledge of ventilator management and pulmonary artery line monitoring is essential.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Additional patient care duties may arise based on unit needs.
Candidates should be adaptable and ready to manage a variety of patient diagnoses and emergency situations.
